A prairie dog hunt for two people in Northeastern Colorado (on the plains near Sterling) with board member Cliff Woerner, in June 2018 for two days. Dates to be arranged with Cliff. You will be picked up at the Denver Airport and taken to headquarters motel in Sterling, CO on a Friday and begin hunting prairie dogs on Saturday morning, break for lunch and resume in the afternoon. Sunday morning hunt until noon, then back to the airport to return home.
Hunt includes two nights in motel (double occupancy), two breakfast/lunches/dinners, and transportation to and from airport. It does not include ammunition or Colorado state hunting license, which may be purchased online before arrival.
Cliff’s wife, Gail, is from this area and will be arranging ranches to hunt with her friends and neighbors. We have done this hunt numerous times and it is a blast! We suggest a flat shooting rifle caliber. Shots are 200+ yards most of the time. We suggest 200 rounds of ammunition. Founding member, life member, and board member Cliff Woerner will be opening his beautiful home in the lakeway area to our members for an evening to remember. Tickets are $10, which includes a raffle ticket for a fantastic shotgun. Directions and addresswill be emailed to all registered parties within a week of the event.
Join us at SCI Austin to meet and hear hunting legend and author Craig Boddington share his thrilling hunting adventures and discuss the future of the sport.
You will have time to meet Col Boddington face-to-face, as well as get a copy of one of his many books autographed in person.
Craig is a life member of SCI and SCI AUSTIN chapter. He is the upcoming recipient of the 2018 Weatherby Award.

Well known professional hunter and photographer Michael Fell will be hosting an event along with other wildlife photographers and videographers. Their art work is world renowned and stunning!
